I've been looking forward to your list for quite a while now! I am personally not going to include films like The White Ribbon and Un prophète because they are classified as 2009 films, despite being released in 2010 in the United States. I've been meaning to see Howl ever since I read your view. I'm surprised The Social Network isn't in the top ten, but it's a unique list all on its own. Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year!

For years I left some excellent foreign films of my top ten lists because they were technically released the previous year. These films, like The White Ribbon, fell into a no man's land between "years" and never made my lists. Nevermore.
Happy New Year to you too.
