I also think very highly of:
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)
Les Diaboliques (1955)
The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)
The House on Haunted Hill (1959)
Peeping Tom (1960)
Eyes Without A Face (1960)
Carnival of Souls (1962)
Don't Look Now (1973)
The Tenant (1976)
Nosferatu (1979)
The Fly (1986)
The Evil Dead Trilogy
Perfect Blue (1998)
Ginger Snaps (2000)
[REC] (2007)
Oh, I could go on and on. I love horror so much.

By the way, long time reader, first time commenter. I really enjoy reading your blog. I really wish The Uninvited (with Ray Milland) was on DVD as that's one I'd screen too were it available.

One I enjoyed for it's over the top cheesy fun is actually a remake--House on Haunted Hill (1999). It's not a classic by any stretch of the imagination but it's fun to watch Geoffrey Rush and Famke Janssen chew scenery.

I've been putting together a list for this year's horror-thon and trying to come up with some either I haven't seen or that my friend hasn't seen. I'm looking forward to viewing Trick R Treat (2008) as I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Some others I'd put on my list in addition to yours are obvious choices like Halloween (1978), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), Carnival of Souls (1962), Curse of the Demon (1957) and Dawn of the Dead (1978).

Happy Halloween!Skitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00146440711710214726noreply@blogger.com
